National Railway Museum is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Delhi. It describes the Railway history of India. The museum is placed in Chanakyapuri and was founded on Feb 1st, 1977.
Some other main attractions of this museum are Patiala State Monorail Trainways, the Fairy Queen, Fire Engine, Fireless steam locomotive, Kalka Shimla Rail Bus, Crane Tank, Betty Tramways among the rest. The Fairy Queen, the world’s oldest operating steam locomotive, is also qualified by the Guinness Book of Records.
The toy train that takes you throughout a trip to the museum is also an attraction of the Rail Museum in Delhi. The Railway Museum is open on all days apart from Monday.
